Horizontal wood blinds provide an attractive alternative to vinyl or aluminum blinds. Commonly made from light basswood or bamboo, wood blinds require gentle dusting or vacuuming to keep them dust-free.
Things You Will Need:
- Vacuum brush
- Clean Soft Rags
- Duster
Run a feather duster over each slat of the blinds to remove loose dust and dirt or vacuum the blinds with a soft brush vacuum cleaner attachment hose to remove dirt and dust.
To remove a spot on the wood slat, gently clean the blinds with a damp dry cloth. Avoid soaking the wood blinds as excessive water may cause the wood blind to warp or become damaged. Never use any chemicals, cleaners or sprays on your wood blinds.
Thoroughly dry the wood blinds immediately with a clean cloth.

Damage, stains or discoloration to cords, chain, ladder, slats, tubes, fascia/valance, headrail, tilt rod, hardware or any part of the window covering resulting from regular maintenance, cleaning or operation will not be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
